IPL 2023: PBKS vs KKR Match Prediction

The second match of the IPL 2023 will see the action return to Mohali as Punjab Kings (PBKS) square off against two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Both teams finished in the bottom half of the points table last year and will be looking to start the tournament with a win this time around.

Shikhar Dhawan’s side will be without their star pacer Kagiso Rabada for the upcoming fixture, Nitish Rana will have to do without the services of Kiwi speedster Lockie Ferguson. Although both camps have been hit by injuries ahead of the 16th edition of the tournament, the home side are the favourites heading into the contest, especially with the likes of Sam Curran in the squad.

PBKS vs KKR Pitch Report

The surface in Mohali has traditionally been a high-scoring venue with batters enjoying their time in the middle. The ball might do a little bit for the fast bowlers in the initial stages of the match, but it will get easier to bat as the match progresses. The team winning the toss would be inclined to bowl first at this venue.
